We, of course, had a sum in mind which probably wasn’t realistic. Their marketing strategy for the auction was effective, and the open homes were well attended. This, apparently, was unusual at the beginning of June 2022. We immediately had offers, which we refused, as we were still under the illusion that our little house was something exceptional. This illusion came down a bit when we had the property valued. The things we thought were important, like great quality, didn’t stack up against location and size of section.
